Honeycomb perfect - Golden stay!

We were warmly welcomed by the hosts Louise and Dean in their brand new amazing spot with views to die for. A home from home for us. They showed us the porpoise build guest wing with your own private entrance, two! areas to sit outside, a living space with pantry and large TV, an amazing bathroom and the bedroom with a bed you never want to get out anymore. All the materials, fabrics and furniture are of a very high standard and in a warm and welcoming color scheme. It is immaculately clean. There are a lots of "table" and travel books and magazines to sit with somewhere relaxing with a cup of tea and fresh cookies and chocolates. The breakfast is delicious with all fresh, good quality and organic produce. And the honey is the best ever tasted, Henk said. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely come and stay again. So much to see and do in the area and so convenient to visit Wellington by train. No parking problems in the city and Waikanae station is only a few minutes away with more than enough free parking. Ngã Mihi, warm regards and see you again soon.

Peaceful and Perfect!

This is a lovely, new property in an elevated location with outstanding coastal views. Dean and Louise are welcoming and friendly hosts, providing high quality, boutique accommodation and delicious, home-cooked breakfasts. The private entrance, and unexpected bonus of a spacious living room with a massive television just for guests was great. Highly recommended.

Relaxing stay in an immaculate and comfortable B&B

The hosts, Louise and Dean, were exceptionally welcoming and the breakfast they provided was fantastic with quality ingredients, including honey from their own beehive. The accommodation was to a very high standard and immaculate, with a very comfy bed. There were welcome personal touches making the place seem more homely. I love that they are zero waste as much as possible. Having a separate entrance to the accommodation made it easier to come and go without disturbing anyone. The location is on the hills above Waikanai so there’s a great view. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be back if I’m in the area again.

Fantastic two nights stay

I spent two fantastic nights with Dean and Louise at Aston Road Villa! While the Villa is part of their home, it also has a private entrance and can be closed off from the house for complete privacy! The bed was extremely comfortable and the view from it magnificent. The hosts were charming and knew their local area well. Breakfast was plentiful and shared with Dean and Louise, As was the pre-dinner wine! I left there feeling very relaxed and refreshed and well looked after. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone! Thanks Dean and Louise my stay was delightful!!

I went with my girlfriend for a weekend trip. Dean and Louise's hospitality and company was very warm. The Villa itself is modern and clean. Highly recommend to both domestic and foreign travelers.

Room with a view

Our experience was great. We had a wonderful restful stay. Beautiful comfy bed with glorious views over rolling hills to the sea. The sunsets were amazing. Our friendly hosts Dean and Louise made us feel very welcome in their brand new B&B. Their local knowledge was invaluable and they spoiled us with organic tasty treats. The quality well equipped villa was very private, we would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway and a base to explore the surrounding areas.

We're really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you were both able to relax and enjoy the property. We look forward to hosting you again in the future. Regards Louise & Dean Compton

What a fabulous place and stay

What a fabulous place and stay. Best so far in NZ - one we really do hope to come back to. The description by Dean and Louise is an under sell. First, the breakfast is like going to a restaurant - with a menu! Second, while not a a kitchen per se to prepare meals there is a kitchenette with milk in a small refrigerator (wine cooler actually) Third, yes this a separate unit and is attach to the main house, but there is with a separate entrance, patio, balcony, private balcony. You only go to the main part of the house for breakfast. Louise and Dean will be super hosts in no time!
